Showgirl

Join the movement and make a difference

The Mudgee Showgirl competition aims to find an ambassador for our local rural community. Every year, hundreds of young women from NSW enter The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl competition though their local show society showgirl competition.

Entrants must be aged between 18 and 25 years; a permanent resident of Australia and have lived, worked or studied in NSW for at least three months prior to the Showgirl competition.

The competition encourages the participation and subsequent awareness of rural women’s contribution and involvement in both local communities and rural NSW as a whole. It is most important the Showgirls have a genuine interest in, and knowledge of, rural NSW.

In entering the competition, the participants meet other young ladies with similar interests, and gain beneficial knowledge and invaluable experience. The entrants at each level of the competition are exposed to personal development and networking opportunities, not to mention some great prizes.
