Young Woman Competition
Previously known as the Showgirl Competition, The Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition aims to find a young woman to act as an ambassador for rural NSW.
Entrants must be aged between 18 and 25 years; a permanent resident of Australia and have lived, worked or studied in NSW for at least three months before entering the Young Woman competition.
The program encourages the participation and subsequent awareness of rural women’s contribution and involvement in both local communities and rural NSW. Young Woman entrants should have a genuine interest in, and knowledge of, rural NSW.
By entering, the participants meet other young women with similar interests and gain beneficial knowledge, and invaluable experience as well as grow both personally and professionally. The entrants at each level of the competition are exposed to personal development and networking opportunities, not to mention some great prizes.
Mudgee Show Young Woman 2026
Millie Brown
Millie, 20, works as an Agriculture Assistant while studying a Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management at Charles Sturt University and has completed a Certificate IV in Wool Classing. She is actively involved in the show movement through livestock exhibiting, stewarding, and committee involvement with the Mudgee and Rylstone-Kandos Show Societies, and has achieved success in Young Judges competitions at the Sydney Royal. Millie enjoys working with livestock and developing industry skills. She entered the competition to strengthen her leadership abilities, step outside her comfort zone, and advocate for agriculture and young people in rural communities.
Expressions of Interest Now Open!
Expressions of Interest are now open for the 2027/2028 Mudgee Show Young Woman Competition. This is a unique opportunity to represent the Mudgee community as part of the the Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition, building confidence, leadership, and communication skills while connecting with others involved in the show movement and industry. Participants have the chance to progress through to the state level at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, making this a rewarding and memorable experience for those looking to get more involved in their community.
